5-6-26     THOUGHTS

Our God did not make robots to love Himself.  He gave us free will to choose, and then gave us every possible reason to choose Him!  John 3:16   "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.  This is the “lifting up... drawing...”!   LOVE  DRAWS!  “GOD  IS LOVE!”   1John 4:16    “We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.”    Giving and loving are inseparable in this lesson.  

John 12:27-33    "Now My soul has become troubled; and what shall I say, ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour.  28  "Father, glorify Your name." Then a voice came out of heaven: "I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again."  29  So the crowd of people who stood by and heard it were saying that it had thundered; others were saying, "An angel has spoken to Him."  30  Jesus answered and said, "This voice has not come for My sake, but for your sakes.  31  "Now judgment is upon this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.  32  "And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself."  33  But He was saying this to indicate the kind of death by which He was to die.

Our Prayer:
Lord,  teach us fully of this ABIDING  thing.  Help us to abide in You and You in us!  Draw us to Yourself, O God.  May we draw near to You, knowing that You will draw near to us!  Surely, O  Father, You have drawn near in Christ Jesus.  We praise and lift You up for the awesome way You have saved us.  It’s in Jesus that we pray,   Amen.
